My user name

How about the Sierra Nevadas! Lol, anyway, my username, SPARTANSLAYER, means that I'm really good at killing spartans, in online HALO PC. It also sounds really cool! My real name is Nathan. Hey Don, or Jim, I'm guessing that you aren't Japanesse with a name like Jim. Where are you from?

Lol. Nope. I am not Japanese. Canadian actually (roots in Ireland). Been in Japan for 8 years now (wife is Japanese).

Well, seeing as I'm subscribed to this thread...
I lost my first PC to trojans and viruses :( and then I read this,
http://www.textfiles.com/uploads/paranoid.txt
It changed my life :haha:
Naw, but when I joined I was paranoid about the internet, I really like my PC and I still distrust sites that use spyware, .zip files and msn.
@spartanslayer: cool name :grinthumb

Well my name is a bit odd, and it would be nice to explain it.

AtK - was a clan i was in at the moment i joined the boards (CSS)
SpAdE- is the card of death. (but i get alot of...are you black?) which i am not.

When i joined these boards, i expected to ask my question and move on. One year, and a thousand posts later, im still here posting and learning.

My ATK Spade name is so odd, that i often close my post with my real name, so that people do not have to adress me as ATK SPADE later.

Sean

Ok i guess ill try this then, well I was born with the name Ivan , but when i moved to the united states Ivan is Called John. So Everyone in my family calls me john but I still have freinds that call me Ivan. Ivan is sort of a nickname for me so i went with the AKA. :) :)

For the ones who will ask or want to change/upgrade thier nick's/handles,
"is it possible to change it here on TS?"
socrates=SOcRatEs= SORE cats.....
thinkin bout just "SOx"

No fancy stuff about my nickname, just the REAL black stuff which happens to be my favourite tipple. My avatar says it all. (Actually I prefer Murphy's over Guinness, but..).

O.K. but I will not tolerate any snide remarks. We're clear on this Right!

An old girlfriend called me "Liquidlen " Leonard is my Name.

Since that occurred more than 25 years ago( Time married)
I am not sure I still deserve the handle, and 'No' I have not seen her to Ask.

Well, I had a female best friend once who's nickname was Dru (what with her having some resemblance to the vampire of the same name on Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and some of my nocturnal tendancies were noticed, which survive a little to this day. Hence, I became known as Spike (was only natural really).

Later, by other people, it was joked (or maybe not? lol) that I was named after the dog in Tom and Jerry cartoons. lol

My sister's husband (who lives very near to you actually, in Prescott)...

Right in my back yard. Some of us Arizonans should get together some time. We could do a "tech dance". You see this is where we put out enough vibe to where, any nearby PC users will somehow gain a sixth sense of how NOT to use their computers. Now wouldn't that be helpful?

"The Dons, the Dons......the Dons are mearly content to cheat and lie to you..."

What's in my name? Ah shucks, nothing special. Only in the fact it's my gamers name, and very much personality; but being that it is not very unique, and given the number of members registered at the time I joined here, I was quite overjoyed to find it was available, and snatched it quickly. Cause I've been at forums with a few hundred people and it's taken already. So I consider it a prize. Ya'll be trippin.

Could be..
My doors open to any TS addicted member.

Some of you must remember Captain Kirk? "Kirock" is from the episode when Kirk lost his memory from some energy beam and he woke up on an N.A. Indian type planet. He tried to pronounce his name, Kir, Kir, ..the indian said "Kirock". He became the tribes "shaman", "witch doctor" after he gave CPR to a boy who had drowned and that recovered him from the dead. (at least that's what they saw).

I love Gene Roddinbury's vision of the future thru the tale of Star Trek. Mankind has overcome his cultural and religious prejudice and learned to live in peace on Earth. So next step, see what's out there, but don't go without some phasers and photon torpedos! (ah what can you do it was written in the 60's!)

I think there was some REALLY cool well thought out names here (mine an exception), thanks for sharing.

Don and SOREcats...sweet.
