Need help: my audio and video is choppy now i need help to fix

Well recently i have tested Epsxe which is a playstation 1 emulator.
When i used the emulator it played the sound and video of the game was choppy so i decided not to use it again.Well about a week later i decided to play a dvd on my computer and what it did was the same choppy stuff as the emulator now. I tried differnt dvds and audio cds but they all did the same. I was hoping you guys could help me cause i dont know what to do.
But i did try uing my DVD restore disk which has a restore audio driver option.
But when i used it it would have a pop up that says:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\regedit.com is not valid Win32 application.

Please help me i beg

try updating BOTH your video and sound drivers. Just find what brand they are and google " [brand] driver" or go to their web site and download the drivers from there.
