Need help on upgrade: buy GTX 6xx now or wait for GTX 7xx?

Hi, I've been thinking about upgrading my rig but I'm not sure if I should wait for the 700 series or buy something in the 600 series like a 660 or a 660 ti.

I've had my 6870 for a year now and its done me well, I could sell this card (while its still worth something) and get some money to put towards a new card but I don't know if its worth it and if I should wait, what do you think?

i5 2500k @4.3ghz
MSI Z68A-GD55
Exceleram 8GB @1600mhz
Corsair 650w
XFX 6870 Duel Fan

Also if you think I should go in for the 600 series, should I get the 660 (£190) or the 660 ti (£250).

Personally, I think you have a nice setup and should be happy with what you have. On second thought forget what I just said and get the GTX 660Ti, if the GTX 670 is out of your budget.

If you have the money the AMD 7950 is the better choice and overclocks like a dream.

What games you'd play matters most; so far, most games are TWIMTBP, so an NVIDIA card is typically the better choice due to better optimizations and driver support, although AMD isn't far behind, but they're frequently late to the party.

Either the 7950 or the GTX 660Ti should be a good choice, I think.

In most games the 7950 overclocked to 1100 mhz is quite a bit faster than the 660ti also you have the lower bit rate on the 660ti and more video ram on the 7950
