Need Sound Drivers

Hi all...this is my first post and I am trying to help a friend of mine who has lost her sound....she has a Sony Vaio VGC-M1 and apparently has lost her drivers etc due to a major system crash.....can someone point me in the right direction for her to download the drivers so she can have sound again.....she's overseas and we frequently talk on skype but without sound.....we're speechless ! hi - ty for your help - She is in the UK - Great Britain...and shes been to that site and downloaded the drivers but they are not functioning

Apparently the Vaio Update feature should get her up and running -she needs to READ the info at the foregoing site.
