Netflix now wants every profile to have its own email address, annoying users

I would agree only if they provide us with an email addresses of all the board members. We need to be able to bother them when issues arise!

Oh wait you don't want million of email spam? Excellent we don't either.

This just doesn't fit with how we use Netflix... my wife and I have a shared email account we use for services we both use, like Netflix. One place to keep the account info, so we can both get to it easily.

Which means we have a shared Netflix account, set up under the shared email address, with a user for each of us to keep our watching profiles separate. Works perfectly.

Now one (both??) of us need to add our own email addresses to our user profiles, separating off the management of what is still paid under our joint email account?? If we decide to cancel the subscription, what happens to those personal email address "accounts" in Netflix that aren't actually individual accounts?

I know what we do isn't typical, but I bet there are plenty of people using Netflix in a non "One profile per person in the household" way.
Like I can imagine plenty of people having a profile for the parents and a profile for their kids, where the parents still 100% control what gets watched under the kids profile but just want the watch history separated. Are they supposed to sign up a new email address that doesn't exist for the kids profile?

While I agree that Netflix has gone too far in many aspects including annoying and ripping people off, you should also agree that Netflix by far is the most complete streaming service out of all.

Most people would agree that if they had to choose only 1 single television streaming service they would say Netflix.

Once again I hate how Netflix have gone full tyrant on consumers, but sadly it still the best.

They are the worst. Most films and TV shows aren't there, and there is no option to rent. At least Amazon provides you with that.

Scum like Netflix are never going to get my email address. Personally, I prefer to use the free streaming services and get all the Netflix content for free. It's all they deserve. And if it ruins future content, I'm glad for that too. Let it burn.

You’ll get one email, one user, and one account from me, Netflix. I’m deleting all my family members profiles except mine. We’ll all use my profile so I can keep you listed as “junk/spam” in my inbox. Screw you.
Same here. Or move to ZERO accounts.

My goodness, I looked everywhere for a block and couldn't find it. Well, obviously not everywhere. Thank you, sir...

Glad to be of help.
The amount of odious hot-air certain life-less posters here generate will make the oceans boil!

An elegant and simple "hack". The only cost is your viewing history and recommendations become cluttered. A small price to pay to thwart big brother!

True. Netflix is not Fascist. It's much closer to Communism.

Karl Marx said "The theory of Communism may be summed up in the single sentence: the abolition of private property.” - The Communist Manifesto, 1848

Netflix is trying to remove your property rights. Hence they are Communist.

Communism has always been closely associated with Globalism and transnational business. The Bolshevik revolution was heavily financed by Western banks. Their goal was to shut down Russia as a major power and reduce the population to slave labor. Big business does not want you to own anything...

By the way, mass starvation at Dachau and other German labor camps was entirely caused by Allied bombing of rail and transportation lines. US fighters had orders to strafe anything that moved, including farmers on tractors, public transportation, buses, trains, people on bicycles. Their goal was to starve Germany to death. That's why there was no food at the German camps. Not because the German government had some ridiculous compulsion to starve people to death. You see the same kind of camp starvation during the US Civil war. Read about the Andersonville POW camp.

Also, the major horrors were in the Soviet Union and later Communist China, not Germany. Historians like Alexander Solzhenitsyn estimate that over 60 million Russians died of government policies during the 70 years of communist rule. The Chinese cultural revolution killed tens of millions.

As the West slides ever more into communism, there is a concerted attempt to scrub and cleanse the dark side of communism. But the early historians got it right. They had access to primary sources.

It's not communistic either. Netflix is not a country or government. It's a public corporation from which we rent a streaming service.

I'm so sick of misuse of the word "fascist". 99.9% of the people using the word don't even know what it means! For me, when I hear it, it's my first clue that who I'm dealing with has a very low IQ.
