Network controller

When I go to connect to the internet it comes up with "not connected - no connections are available" and looking in my device manager, the network controller has a yellow ! next to it.. if I go to update the driver software it says windows could not find driver software for your device????
What do I do?

Figure out what the model of the network card is inside your computer. If it's a retail or major mfg (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.) look up the serial number or service tag on their support site. Download the driver install on another computer to a USB stick, put back inside the computer in question & install accordingly. Boom! Network card will be working & you should have internet access shortly after you plug in. Hope this helps, take care!
