New build Win7 Media Player - no volume adjustment?

Hi - I just built a Win7 PC. We copied videos from a video camera to this new computer, and played one to see if everything is working - the video was really loud! and no volume control works! -Not the one that is part of Windows Media Player, or the regular Windows volume.

On anything else, volume works as it should. How do I solve this?

See if the volume control works if you stream a youtube video or play an audio CD. I'm thinking it might be something to do with the recorded files. Congratulations on building your computer but don't forget to check out the free upgrade to Windows 10.
