New Windows 7 Install Advice for protection

Hi All,

I have freshly installed Windows 7 after having some issues with explorer crashing. I was interested in having some virus and malware protection advice. I have read thru the posts and reviews and I have decided to go with MES for my antivirus protection. Is it enough though for malware ? Should I be installing Ad-aware or Spybot & Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware ? Should I be adding in a firewall as well or is the standard fire wall or something on one of the packages above already enough ?

I use the same AV as you, with the Windows firewall (I used to use Comodo which I highly recommend, but never got round to re-installing it after a fresh W7 install). I also use Spybot weekly, but I only really use W7 for gaming, everything else is done in Linux.

That said, I've not had a problem to date. Maybe I've just been lucky just using the Windows firewall - I have a feeling I'm about to find out from other members. :haha:
