Newsletter security source question

Can anyone here, please explain why www.techspot.com find it necessary to use this email address to deliver their Newsletter please?

Why not use www.techspot.com/newsletter which looks so much more "professional" and doesn't raise
my concerns of emails with hidden agendas.

For me, it works - as I know it comes from Julio Franco (head honcho) with his suggestions of what might be interesting to read. Call it a personal touch.

Well, technically the newsletter has to come from an email address, not a web one, so if it wasn't my own (we've done that for over a decade) we could simply use a dedicated "newsletter@techspot..." address, we've simply chosen not to.

'Thank You' Cycloid Torus and (head honcho) Julio. I raised the question because of Thunderbirds continual 'Blocking' warnings, also, in these ever distressing times of booby trapped emails, clarity before clicking 'Ignore' or adding an unknown to ones address book, is a sad necessity of our times.
