Google is expected to announce new Nexus devices at an event in New York next week, but it appears that someone at Carphone Warehouse couldn’t hold his or her excitement any longer. The retailer has accidentally posted a preorder page for a brand new Nexus smartphone, manufactured by LG.

The page has since been removed but not before several publications got a hold of some interesting details.

In terms of specs, Carphone Warehouse listed a quad core 1.5 Ghz Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM, 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 LCD display, 8-megapixel camera (recording 1080p video at 30fps), NFC, and a new 4.2 version of Android -- presumably still nicknamed Jelly Bean. Interestingly, there only appears to be 8GB of storage onboard, and there was no mention of a microSD card slot for expansion.

There’s also mention of a 360-degree camera, which we assume means panorama mode, as well as something called gesture typing that Carphone Warehouse compares to Swype's finger-dragging input method.

The promised delivery date for the Nexus 4 is October 30th, just a day after Google's Android event on Monday, and will be offered in the UK on both O2 and Vodafone for free on contracts over £31 per month. The Verge also received an inventory snapshot showing a price of £389.95 (about $629) for the SIM-free version.

I really don't think it only has 8GB internal storage, at least not without having additional micro sd storage

4.0 was ICS, 4.1 JB. If 4.2 comes out, it should have a new name - which fits in well with some rumours (that I have no links to ..).

There will be a 8 gb and a 16 gb version of the Nexus 4, both not expandable with an micro sd card
