No Display after Windows 10 Update

Downloaded windows 10 one month ago. Since then screen went blank 3 times. First two times it came back after hours and the screen shown it was updating. Last time display went out, it never came back. HP is saying bios is corrupted because the caps key blinks twice. Is is the bios? or some issue with windows 10. If bios, can it be reflashed without the screen working?

You may have to remove both the battery and the CMOS battery on the motherboard

Try to boot OS in safe mode, and let me know the hardware configuration ..

I've tried F2, F10, F8 during start. Screen is blank. I hear something though (fan?). Thanks
