No sound on my computer

hi...my problem starts when my computer was reformatted....the sound was deleted and when i checke it on my computer and device manager there is no sound driver installed.my computer is windows xp pro sp2,celeron..oem computer ,asus desktop pc...i downloaded a realtek audio driver but still no sound on it...please help....ty
