Norway wants to temporarily ban smart glasses in parks, beaches, and schools

Punch me? Take my phone? (both illegal). I'm in public and you're in public.
run by and steal them from you then destroy them

just like you using "public" as a space to protect yourself doesnt mean everyone complies. you do know that people dont care to break the "law" with consequences and maybe without.

lot of hate for these perve glasses. were going to see many incidents in "public" that will be against the law, and were going to see many pervs being arrested for not using the glasses according to "law".

just cause theres law, things dont always go by them. youre very naive.

That law varies in many ways.

Your creating hysteria without cause. Incidental capture is not a crime. Intent is. A news broadcast at a beach is going to capture swimwear. A walking tour of a beach, be it camera or phone or glasses, is likely to do the same. Yes it’s more obvious, sometimes. Not always.

BTW: the laws around the world in general, are quite specific. Sexualised materials without consent.

But you’re going to be just as obvious using a phone or a pair of glasses to look under a skirt. Either way, get caught go to jail.

You don’t ban a product with enormous legal use, because a few people may act criminally.
Otherwise if you want to be reactive and knee-jerk, ban all cameras, not just one. No cell phones, no cameras, no tablets, no e-readers.
Well we’re at it we should ban airplanes (missiles), cars (can run people over) lawn mowers (not going there). Let’s ban knives and forks. Oh, and spoons, just in case.
This law do vary slightly depengind on the country, but is more or less identical, only the years in prison changes.

And no. It is not 'sexualised' materials only. There is much more to it.

Additionally, there is no issue with taking pictures in public. There is an issue with taking them without people knowing you are doing that. In many countries, cameras are required to make an audible shutter sound while taking pictures, which can not be turned off. Limiting use of the smart glasses falling into the same category. Are you happy with this and is it allowed in your country? Enjoy as long it is working there. Does Norway and other countries plan to limit the usage? it is their law and they follow other existing solutions, it is not your concern.

And no, you wont be obvious to use glasses for voyeurism in many more cases. Additionally, if you do that by accident, and person will call the police, you will have problem, bigger or smaller - depending on country. There is no 'intention' in breaking a law - you break the law, you are responsible. To use knife to break a law you need to have intention. To use camera to break a law you need to have intention. To use always recording glasses to break a law no specific intention is needed, therefore your argument about using tools in good or bad way is incorrect.
