Numerous bad image errors

This is my Dad's pc. He had a virus so he brought it to me..not because of my expertise, but because of my patience and persistance to find the solution.
It was basically shutting the whole pc down. IE would lock up (even in safe mode), lots of pop up errors...at one point we even lost the add/remove programs.

I followed your 8 step virus removal and that cleared up 99% of the problems. The last noticeable problem is he is still getting bad image errors popping up.

I will attach all files your 8 step requests. Until I found this site, I was flying blind running scans with ccleaner and malwarebytes and chkdsk. Too many errors to mention must less remember.

It looks like I am going to exceed the 5 downloads, so please refer to next post for the rest.

AVG deleted a lot of tracking cookies as well as 2 pup (?) infections.

Thanks in advance. I already feel like I accomplished a lot of good by running the 8 steps!!

Hello Dawn

Please download combofix here ->
ComboFix
Before Saving it to Desktop, please rename it to 321.com to stop malware from disabling it.

Now, please make sure no other programs are running, close all other windows.

Please double click on the file you downloaded. Follow the onscreen prompts to start the scan.
Once the scanning process has started please DO NOT click on the Combofix window or attempt to use your computer as this can cause the scanning process to stall.
It may take a while to complete scanning and this is normal.

You will be disconnected from the internet and your desktop icons/toolbars will disappear during scanning, do not worry, this is normal and it will be restored after
scanning has completed.

Combofix will create a logfile and display it after your computer has rebooted.
Usually located in c:\combofix.txt, please attach it to your next post

I am sorry to have wasted your time. I am being helped by a tech on another board. Thank you so much for all that you do. Please feel free to close this thread.
