Nvidia DLSS 5 is getting modded into just about every game, often with hilarious results

This technology is going to be so ****in' sweet. Those that call it AI Slop are just retarded and should go back downstairs into their parent's basement and never come out. The rest of us will enjoy it for what it is meant to do, and that is to make our games better when the Devs are too lazy/inexperienced to do it properly.

Your comment is slop, and it isn't making games better looking. Nothing sad at all about you breaking out into a shivering sweat when you hear the mention of AI

lil bro, on this one he is 100% right.

Also nvidia, your soon to be overlords, is run by AI in pretty much anything.

Do my suppositories feel loose to you? They just don't feel as form as the used to

Modders applying an unfinished photorealism model at maximum strength to games that were never designed for it is simultaneously the least fair and most entertaining possible DLSS 5 demonstration.

Lol so interesting reading the comments. Ever since I started gaming in the 2000s, photo-realism was the ultimate goal for video games...now that we're getting it some people are like "no I don't like that. I prefer Minecraft graphics."

Personally, seeing the progress of graphics the past 25 years, THIS IS INCREDIBLE! Yes it takes AI to achieve it... but ALL graphics are software based, and AI is just another software solution. lol people seem to forget that in the first place.

You will definitely be able to turn it off. Upscaling has become common because it increases performance, but this decreases it. You will be able to turn it off the same way you can turn off other graphically demanding features.

DLSS5 is more like Ray Regen in that sense. You can argue devs could get lazy and rely on DLSS5 to do their work for them, but you'll still be able to turn it off.
People were making the same assumption for ray-tracing for future games: "you can just turn it off bro". And yet... here we are.

I've seen the exact same comment or 90% the same on other platforms. Did you copy paste this weird slop excuse from somewhere?

I think as soon as ray tracing became a real hardware feature it was clear that eventually games would require it since the alternative it's the dev setting up two different lighting system. Dev are still going to have to create characters, even if they are lazy about it and let DLSS do all the real work.

It would have to be vendor agnostic to be something you can't trun off. Ray tracing is vendor agnostic, dlss is not.

From fake frames to fake textures & slop game designs. These are same delusional CEOs that are spamming Ai will fix the economy, people won't need to go to work and global warming will be solved by Ai. They also want Ai to become the next utility and be sold on a meter. What a bunch of crazy ****s.

"ThE gAmEs WeReNt DeSiGnEd FoR iT"
It's still an accurate demonstration of what it is designed to do. People did the same thing with DLSS2 and 3 and the results looked like what we got out of the final product

It's AI slop and it looks like AI slop. Forget about enshitification we are now seeing enslopification
The visual improvements look pretty good to me. And as an aside, how do you have time to comment on literally every article on TS over the last 10 years?? Is this a popularity contest for you? #getalife

PS: I do respect your knowledge, but man...

See as how you weren't a jerk about I'll answer your question seriously. I spend 8-9 months a year working on the road and I get really bored. Also why my posts are often riddled with type-os, I'm almost always posting from my phone

I see zero visual improvements. Just weird changes in color, overblown highlights, shadows that are incorrect and the obvious AI slop faces.

And all of the that for the cheap cheap price of half of your performance on a 5090....

If it goes out with support only for RTX 50xx cards ... whole 12.36% of players (Depending on Steam HW survey) could turn it ON. (15.63% including laptops).

It means 84% of players does not have choice at all.
And another 8.5% wont use it due to very bad performance.

Making games for ca 7.5% of PC players does not sound like profitable business.

Sorry I was having a bad day. I do enjoy your posts, and I'm quite impressed with your broad knowledge of all things tech. Keep 'em coming!

Relax, I use TS as a sort of social media for people interested in tech and it can be fun if someone trys to be really mean. The meaner someone gets the less serious and more sarcastic I become.
