Hi everyone, im here to ask help about a nvidia driver bug that's been happening since october 2016,
Since then every driver update has been making my laptop go into sleep mode while im gaming, and only while im playing a game, which means when the gpu is running, I have tried older drivers and it goes away but I get way less performance. My laptop its a Acer Aspire 5742G
Specs:
CPU
4GB 1660MHZ
HDD
500GB
GPU
Nvidia Geforce GT 540M 1gb
Current Driver Version: 376.33
I have considered overheating but it has only happend while I play League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Source which are not highly demanding games, and doesnt happen when I play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or GTA V when both use almost 100% of my RAM and CPU, while playing GTA V lowest settings (around 20-40fps) I've gotten a max temperature of 73ºC (163ºF) and that leads me to consider that the problem is with this low demanding games, but I have no idea.
If someone has an idea of what the problem could be it would be great.
I apologise for my bad english, my first language is spanish.
Thank you.
