The GTX 750 Ti is back with 8GB of memory, and it can still barely run Cyberpunk

Going overkill: The GTX 750 Ti was a go-to upgrade for budget PCs back in 2014, largely because it could fit into an old office tower without requiring extra power cables. It came with just 2GB of memory, though – a limitation that many games released in recent years can easily run into. Now, a version with four times as much memory is available on Amazon. According to reports, it can even run Cyberpunk 2077 at around 30 fps.

UK YouTuber RandomGaminginHD picked one up from the little-known brand Xynsviu for around £160. That's more than the $149 Nvidia originally charged for the card. In the US, the same model was listed on the brand's eBay storefront for $189.

He paired it with a Core i5-12400F and 32GB of DDR5 memory for testing. In Cyberpunk 2077, the card averaged 32 fps at 1080p using the lowest preset and FSR 2.1 in Performance mode. Battlefield 6 ran at 35 fps on its lowest settings with the render scale set to 50%. Those averages hide some ugly problems, though, including textures that never loaded and objects that popped into view late..

ARC Raiders looked respectable on paper at 48 fps, but performance occasionally plunged to just 9 fps. Lighter games fared much better. Counter-Strike 2 ran at 102 fps on medium settings, while Fortnite managed 75 fps in Performance mode.

The extra memory does pay off in Red Dead Redemption 2. Ultra textures are available directly in the settings menu, without the configuration-file tweak required by the 2GB version. Even so, the game reached just 37 fps with the resolution scale reduced to 50%. Across the entire test suite, RandomGaminginHD found that the card performs much like the original 2GB model.

That's hardly surprising, given that the underlying GPU hasn't changed. GPU-Z identifies a full GM107 die with all 640 CUDA cores, unlike the 8GB "Ti" model that surfaced a few months ago but actually used a standard GTX 750 GPU. Xynsviu also clocks its eight 1GB GDDR5 memory chips at 1,253 MHz, below the stock 1,350 MHz. That reduces memory bandwidth from 86.4 GB/s to 80.2 GB/s, matching the regular GTX 750's figure.

Gaming might not have been the main goal, anyway. Xynsviu's lineup consists mostly of older Nvidia and AMD GPUs repurposed for multi-monitor use, ranging from the GT 730 to the RX 580. This model features four HDMI outputs on a dual-fan, low-profile board and, like the original GTX 750 Ti, draws all its power through the PCIe slot.

Whatever its intended use, the card relies on a Maxwell GPU that Nvidia no longer optimizes drivers for. Game Ready support ended with the 580 driver branch, meaning new game releases won't receive day-one fixes. The card will continue to receive quarterly security updates through October 2028, however.

New, affordable graphics cards are also becoming harder to find this year. Zotac and Inno3D owner PC Partner warned in its half-year results that entry-level GPU shortages would worsen through the rest of 2026 as memory costs rise. Cards such as the RTX 5050 are already selling above their suggested retail prices in some markets.

I miss LP and small graphics cards in general. It seems like GPU's are following the American truck trend and just becoming as massive as possible. I would also like to see a return to form where most peoples first gaming PCs were a used office tower that they plunked the cheapest GPU they could find in. Everyone likes to act like if you don't have a 90 class card you aren't allowed to have an opinion but the steam survey says only 2% of gamers have a 90 class card. APUs were supposed to be a solution to this, but they are pay walling the better graphics behind their highest end CPUs. You have to pay $1000 for a CPU to get the performance of a $100 GPU.

And it's not like I'm talking about something that existed in the distant passed. A year ago you could get a thinkstation with a 10700k in it for $100-150 and plop in something like a used 6700XT for $200. Now, used 6700XT's are selling above MSRP.

I knew a lot of people with the 750ti that were either building their first PC or just trying to get away from Intel Integrated graphics. Those were fun times. I'm not saying that the 750ti is a good card today, but I'm surprised it is even posting some of the numbers that it is.

But how well does it render 4k ai videos of Aristocats dancing with My Little Ponies in the Cinderella castle underneath a rainbow with a Leprechaun Scrooge McDuck'in his pot of gold with the Gummi Bears cartoon intro song playing throughout?

Gummi bears!!! Bouncing here and there and everywhere!! High adventure that's beyond compare!! They are the Gummi Bears!!

(Any more copyright/trademark infringement I can cram into that 10 second clip?)

While I agree with the ARC side intel arc have become incredibly difficult to find and also exploded in cost going for nearly 300 here if you can find any - however obviously even the b570 is many times faster than this. As the article also states tho these things are for multimonitor setups and more outputs not performance because even something like an 8600G integrated will be faster than this in most cases. Intel could have a massive win if they did release a successor to the a310, something like the B370/B390 as a sub 200 card. Heck they could probably even pair it with ddr5 and 4 Xe2 or Xe3 for sub 100.
