Obtaining high speed internet in Phoenix

I'm not sure I am posting this in the right forum, but I will be in Phoenix, Arizona for 6 weeks this summer. My mother only has dial up access to the internet. Is there any way that I can subscribe to high speed access for a 6-week period? I really don't want to drive to the nearest hotel and sit in their lobby solely for the purpose of accessing their high speed internet.

try cricket communications they have the monthly highspeed internet i think check it out they should have it in phoenix http://www.mycricket.com/broadband/ its monthly. nevermind that wont work

My mom's cable and phone are provided by Cox Communications. I will send them an email and find out what they offer. I came across something else called EVDO, but am not quite sure how it works other than they wanted US$200 per week to "rent" the access. That is way way too expensive for me.
