Old Service Pack 2 necessary on Vista computer?

The Miscrosoft Windows auto-updater keeps telling me I have an "Important" update: Security Update for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2. However I am running a new Vista computer. Every time I go ahead and agree to the install it fails and I get an Error message Code 2B08. It looks like this is an old update that might have been applicable on an XP machine? Is that right? if so, why would Microsoft keep suggesting I install on a new Vista computer?
