Opera has many great built-in features, ad clearly shows a lot of potential, especially with their latest version. They've managed to get working Windows 7 integration, while we need to wait almost a year from now on for Firefox to implement the same.
Opera deserves bigger market share I'll help to achieve it, altough my primary browser is FF.

I didn't know it was released until I read this article. I just upgraded from 10.1 and I already love it as I am typing this post. I can see alot more of the web pages and everything seems quick as usual.

Opera has always claimed they are the fastest browser, and based on my testing of them all, they are completely right. I love the transparent tabs as well, and of course SpeedDial, which is my favorite feature.

Good job Opera!

And I've been enjoying these great features of Opera for 2 years and I am always updated with its current versions. I actually consider it as the best browser along with firefox and chrome. But Opera is more user-friendly, full of customizations and most importantly, it's fast. I even use the Opera Mini for my mobile and it's so easy to use. Hope they could add more and more features especially the renaming-tab feature for private browsing... hehe...

I would "argue" that the "Bookmark Toolbar" feature in FF is an adequate substitute for "Speed Dial". perhaps not as in your face, but completely usable.

Opera 10.50 is certainly fast, much better than FireFox 3.6.
But it would be awesome if it had the power of firefox's add-ons.
I used to be a FireFox user, but i switched over to Flock browser, which is actually FireFox 3.0.

When saying a browser is "Fast", what exactly are the criteria used? What I'm getting at is that surely the overriding factor is the speed of your connection.
Or is it that when they say "fast" they are referring to the time it takes to open the application itself, new tabs and so forth.....in which case if you have a half decent computer it is largely irrelevant....
Not bashing Opera - I use 10.10 and love it to bits - just curios about their claims is all.

I've been using Opera ever since and it is really a fast browser. This version must be downloaded because it cannot be updated if you are using lower versions. Opera 10.5 goes with the trends such as private browsing functionality. The look is a little bit similar to Google chrome as the menu bar is hidden. I do not yet figure out if it's faster than other versions of Opera but I'm sure that it is faster than most browsers in the market. Just hope that they work on tab renaming feature...

Viewing this page on Opera 10.5 now. So glad they have soldiered on all these years. 10.5 continues their tradition of adding a lot of great features and usability. No other Windows browser compares, even if FF can't be replaced for some things. They both leave Chrome and IE in the dust.

Thanks for the great work, you hardy Norwegians :)

I already downloaded Opera mini 10.50. Well I could say it's really fast but sometimes I don't like because it hang up sometimes...
What I like with Opera is their being competitive to other browsers and it's pretty good and they indeed prove it... But this time I cannot say that Opera is really the fastest browser on earth because the other browsers made it too....

I downloaded the latest version and unfortunately a lot of sites STILL don't render properly (due to lack of browser testing from web developers). Doesn't matter if its speedy or had great features, this problem alone means Opera can't be my browser of choice. And speaking of speedy browsers, why does creating the fastest browser seem to be the number one requirement these days?
