PC reboots after first clicking mouse

This POS is a custom built PC running XP Pro with sp2. It works fine in VGA or safe mode. When you boot normally, it will load everything but when you click on anything with the mouse, it freezes and reboots. Read somewhere on here that it was the RAM. Bought new and that didnt correct it. I can go anywhere with it in VGA mode. Any ideas?

Can you please provide us with your system's complete specifications?

Try to isolate the issue first, as you say it happens if you 'click' mouse button, first logical thing would be try to boot without the mouse, and see whether system remains stable, if it is, you get your suspect. If it doesn't then you'll need to do bit more work, first thing try would be to attach mouse to another usb port (if it is a usb mouse).
