I just did a search for this error in the System Event Viewer.

The PCAMPR5 NDIS Protocol Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the specified files.


I've tried MS and Gateway. There was no response on th MS help forum. Gateway said to reload the files - this may reload your whole system.

Since the error is really not causing any problems that I can see, I don't want to do that. Moreover, I cannot find out what the heck it is or how to disable the error reporting.

Any ideas?

How are you accessing the Internet? DSL or cable modem?

Disable error reporting by going to Control Panel, System, Advanced, Error Reporting...

I'm on a Netopia wireless to a DSL modem.

I just disabled programs error reports - don't want to disable OS errors, tho (helps in troubleshooting . . .). I'll have to hunt down the specific one.

Still, anyone know what a PCAMPR5 NDIS is?
