Peter Thiel slams Apple for doing "nothing new" since Steve Jobs died, praises controversial CEOs like Elon Musk

This is how you can tell someone is dumb, if they think Musk is smart.

He's a dumb man's idea of a smart person.

Smart people don't lose most of their followers when Russian data centers get blown up.
Your ability to ignore and avoid objective examples of intelligence and blindly call it “dumb” is impressive - I suppose some other smart person must have done all of those things I listed, and you ignored.

You’re just a hater man, and that’s okay. The first step to acceptance is admitting it.

Well if we are going by your definition of "innovation", then Ford would own the EV truck. The original model T had full EV versions including the truck conversion design. For reusable rockets, nasa was reusing the solid boosters on the shuttle for decades.

But innovation doesn't just mean "the first ever". Refining an idea into a usable product Is also innovation..
And that's why we value context in our conversations.

Innovation doesn't have to mean the "first ever", nobody said that. What I did infer, however, is that Apple hasn't innovated anything since Jobs died (with perhaps one exception of the M series chips) - because unlike your Model T example where it's been over a hundred years since inception, Apple watched their direct competition do the exact same thing they've just done themselves... and copied it within the decade.

Innovation by redefining a product that's over 100 years old = True

Innovation by copy/pasting the exact same products of those around you, within the same 5-10 year span = You're really good at copying, not innovating.

Money doesn't equate to intelligence, only stupid people think that.

You're just super bias and ignorant man, and that’s okay. The first step to acceptance is admitting it.

A hater would be like someone who tries up nazi salutes in public.

I didn’t mention money equating to intelligence, you did.

And you still haven’t addressed one objective fact about Musk yet. That’s ignorance, my friend.

I’m coming at you with facts, you’re repeating the same CNN headline over and over. We are not the same.

Calling someone stupid with zero examples, and running on only emotionally charged statements really does make you look… stupid. Organize your thoughts bud, it’ll make you look smarter.

I did address it, actually. You just don't get it.

But I never expect the magas to get it.

Apple making its own cpu's with a strong first showing is the kind of poor innovation that we should all aspire to. Frankly, I didn't know that Peter Thiel created PayPal; I had thought that he was little more than a conservative gay Republican, not that he actually knows how to do anything. His own lack of innovation has made him irrelevant.
