Picasa and Windows Live Photo Gallery

When I first started using Picasa and downloading photos, the photos would also automatically get copied into Windows Live Photo Gallery and then I could right-click on a photograph in WLPG and "Set as Desktop Background" but now I cannot as it doesn't download my photos in both programmes, only Picasa. What do I need to do to get them downloading into both progammes in future?

My laptop operates on Vista Home Premium, Memory 3.00 GB and 32 bit operatng system and wireless broadband.

I think you would change your download folder. normally when we are download on web the default folder location was my photo

Hi, I believe the 'Live photo gallery' has been changed to 'Windows photo gallery 2012'.
As far as I know, any picture that you want as a desktop background has to be somewhere on your computer, rather than on a website.
So if you down load a picture from a website to your pc, the next time you start Picassa, it will scan and add new images to a folder, which you select, (in Picassa) Tools, Options, General tab, "Save imported pictures in" ..... (Normally "My Pictures").
Then from there you can right-click on any image and set as desktop background.
