Please help, multiply BSODs

Probably caused by : win32k.sys

Probably caused by : ntkrpamp.exe

BugCheck 1000008E, {c0000005, bf8c5747, af0baba4, 0}
Probably caused by : win32k.sys

These are just Windows System Files and don't tell us a whole lot about your XP SP3 system

Start by confirming all drivers are up to date: https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic117607.html

Possibly uninstall any 3rd party firewall like ZoneAlarm

I wonder which Antivirus you have? ie It could be AVG or Norton or McAfee issue (these all would require removal tools by the way)

And lastly you could try Memtest to confirm your Ram is ok
 
I performed a virus scan with Avira and it found some viruses. Some files could not be scanned.

Yep that's all good news, the other one (that could not be opened) was not reported as a detection.

So did you want to go back to AVG, or are you happy to continue with Avira :rolleyes: (and as I always add in: of which I use)


Anyway, back to the issue are you still getting BSoDs ? Because I'd say chances are slim to none

Too soon to say. I have to use it a bit longer, then I'll decide.
About the BSODs, just 1 crash lately.
