Project computer screen to TV

I was able to last week, but suddenly can't anymore. Using the 'duplicate screen' option, it used to become viewable on my TV via HDMI. Now, no matter what I do, it says no signal.

I have tried using my brother's computer and it works, so I know it's not the TV or the HDMI cable. It is my computer's settings.

Win 10 laptop
GTX 1070

Windows is up to date, as well as the nVidia driver (Oct 30th driver).

Any ideas?

Hi. How long have you had this problem? This seems to be a W10 update problem. Here's link from MS Community.

Looks like the driver was fouled up during the update (W/10 seems to do this easily). Start as if this is the FIRST time connecting the HDMI to the TV.

1. power off the PC
2. set the TV line-in setting to the correct HDMI slot
3. now connect the PC to that specific slot & power on
4. the auto discovery should load the correct driver during the boot sequence

you should now be good to go again.
