Purchased iTunes music

first off sorry if i am posting in the wrong forum. so i recently got ahold of my friends ipod and i decided to get the music of it and put the songs i wanted into my itunes library. i succeeded in doing so but some songs (i think the ones they got from itunes store) are protected. those files are in mpeg 4 format. my itunes wil not play them because my computer is not authorized to play them. now i know this is illegal but i know there must be some way to unprotect these songs. so can this be done or am i just wasting my time?

I reckon that yes it probably can be done, I do not know how or with what software, and I wont point you in any direction other than Google. Talking about cracking iTunes DRM certainly is against the forums rules I would say.
