  1. Greetings!
I have a laptop that died running Vista.
HP slammed the door on me, for any long since supported recovery option, and told me to go buy a new OS,
with a suggestion it be Win7 64 bit.

Any leads or links to discounted, or competitively priced offers for doing so, would be highly appreciated.

2 GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core Mobile Processor T3200

Win/7 is no longer being sold and if you actually got a copy, it would be doubtful that you could buy a registration key for it IMO.

"Newegg" still has Windows 7 Pro 64 bit in stock: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...16804&cm_re=windows_OS-_-32-416-804-_-Product for $139.95, which is the going rate for a copy of Win pro, whatever the release version.(*)

If I were you, I'd grab it quick. I'm sure Newegg's copy will be legit, and they're pretty much the last place that has a discontinued Window version in stock.

"Don't delay, call today"! (I just had to say that, I was at one time, in sales).

(*) Sale prices on Win pro can be as low as $109.95. Although, I wouldn't hold by breath waiting for that to go on sale.
