Question on routing

I have a PC in my bedroom which is connected to a Belkin wireless router. Also attached to the router is a DSL modem which supplies the internet.

I want to set another router up down stairs so I can plug my Xbox 360 & a second Pc in. I’ve tried wireless but the signal is too weak for streaming videos.

Could I just plug another Belkin router into the one upstairs to link it all together or will I have to re-configure the routers in any way?

look for an Access Point or a MIMO Class Router to increase signal.
If you get an device with 11n support, make sure it also supports 11g and then
setup to force G-ONLY mode.

Lot's of issues with 11n devices.

So are you saying stick with a wireless conection netween routers?

it should be wired

modem---router#1 ---New A/P ..... wireless...Upstairs
            |
            +--- existing wired or wireless

Locate the New A/P as far away from router#1 and as close to the upstairs location as possible.
