The Razer Blade 14 pairs the Ryzen 9 5900HX with GeForce RTX 3060 graphics and a 1080p display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It's a new premium gaming laptop that is very portable and sleek looking.

Real gamers don't use craptops.
Do we rank if, when we game at home, we put the laptop under the desk and use external mouse\keyboard and monitor?Real gamers don't use craptops.
You still paid way too much for pretty crappy performance.Do we rank if, when we game at home, we put the laptop under the desk and use external mouse\keyboard and monitor?![]()
That's the high price I pay for the portability I need. I wouldn't wish gaming on a 9900K @ 5 GHz., and 210 watt desktop 2080 on my worst enemy! You still paid way too much for pretty crappy performance.
I guess it's still better than using a console.![]()
Don't get me wrong, I have a craptop myself, also for portability. The thing is, I won't pay tons of money for a gaming-grade craptop. I have an ASUS Vivobook with an R5-3500U/Vega 8 (Whatever Vega 8 means) with a mobile GTX 1050. It cost me about $700CAD and is great for non-gaming tasks. That's the high price I pay for the portability I need. They're probably as good as anyone else. The vast majority of these "manufacturers" are anything but. Most of these craptops are made by a company in Taiwan called Quanta Computer. These brands just buy a Quanta design, modify it a little and throw their branding on them. How is Razer quality in their laptops?
I was about to make almost the same post! Thanks for the review. So, the HW is not getting to its full potential, AND, it is bl**dy loud too, but hey, it is small, thin and sexy. I really do wonder who do they design these products, and much, much more importnantly, will peaople actually buy them?
I have had a few gaming laptops, all much thicker and bigger than this, and was always wishing they were a bit chunkier. I would be happily carrying around a pound more, if it meant a better performing machine (and don't get me started with the "necessity" of 4K screens on 15.6", or even at 17.3)
I wish these HW elements were implemented in a nice, chunky laptop (a bit like old Alienware), so we could use their potential to the full, and/or it would be less hot and less loud. I keep dreaming![]()
For gaming, well, that's what my desktop R5-3600X and RX 5700 XT are for. I've learnt that a high-end gaming craptop costs more than a mainstream craptop and a gaming desktop combined.
Right now, I would settle for a 200 watt 3080.Wish they made laptops like this still... I'd love a 3090 inside a 3 inch thick monster
