I recently installed Vista 64 after having XP for along time. I have a usb hard drive that Vista will read but will not let me do anything with. It says the disk is write protected anytime I try to do anything. When I go into properties I try to give everyone full control and it will still sometimes say write protected. How do I make that go away?

Edit-Vista keeps showing the safely remove hardware and then this hard drive in there. I have hit stopped removed it, then plugged it back in and nothing changed.

Fixed it. Had to change permissions in a certain order.
