My computer hangs each time i play computer games my screen just go blank and hangs up...i am a newbie but my system is quite new and recently bought dont know why this happens... PLEASE HELP... i have installed the lastest updates from windows and service packs yet it still hangs...i think i am having trouble with my ati x1600 pro video card dont know how to configure secondary monitor option <--- is this really required?? i have mag 19' lcd monitor and i am usings ati's latest catalyst software... i dont know what to do anymore... all my hardware's are updated also...:<

No, this isn't required... You should disable the 2nd display in your Catalyst Control Panel.

The usual, generic advice, is it update your game (get the latest patch from the developer) and the latest drivers (which you appear to have).

You can also try to fully uninstall your drivers from Control panel / Add Remove programs and use a program like DriverCleaner to completely remove the rest of your ATI drivers. Then download and install the latest drivers again: http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/radeonx-xp.html

Thanks rick that really helped a lot. am playin marvel ultimate alliance and it dosent hang anymore. i think i have to go for the expansion of age of empires coz age of empires 3 still hangs. hope the warchiefs expansion dosent. anyways thanks a bunch. hope i can help some guys here too u guys are really great. i really appreciate the help thanks a lot!!!
