Registry Configuration error

  1. I have Windows Me and when i try to boot up i get this error.

    Cannot find System.ini.

    Boot with emergency boot disc and type scanreg/restore

    WHAT Do i do?? I dont have the boot disc. I have another computer with xp and if i need to download a file i can. Any help?

    The Emergency Boot Disk (also called a 'startup disk') is a floppy-disk which you can use to boot your computer into DOS, then type the command SCANREG /RESTORE and press [ENTER]. You should have created the floppy boot-disk from within Windows when it was running OK, because that's the only way you can get into DOS if you have Windows ME. Try and borrow one, but it must be a Windows ME. disc

    I can't find any thing indicating it can be done without a disc.
