I can see, it's set to 10 right now.
Is there any merit to it?
I find it rather annoying, when I want to say simple "OK" as a confirmation to someone's post and I have to add 8 periods in order to make a post.
Thanks :)

Well.....We Can Never Have Too Many Lazy Experts.....

"OK", plus "thanks", plus :) equals ten. So, you're basically saying that's too much effort?

Yes. (plus another 6 dots)
Whee......................! Set your keyboard repetition rate higher, then hold down thew period., you're really not as important as you think you are. In all fairness to you though, none of us are.

I hope that you get the rules changed, that way I can rejoin as as noob, and marvel, about how Broni actually took the time and effort to say "yes" to me, and revel in the unmitigated honor thereoft.

I asked polite question, which was intended mostly for board's staff.
I don't understand why you're rude.
If you don't like my question, don't reply.

OK, you don't think that requesting that the character count be reduced so that you don't have to go to the trouble of typing 10 letters is rude. Is that correct?I find curt answers to be rude in the first place, so if it's too much trouble to say Yes, glad to hear it, Yes you're quite welcome. Yes, I'm gald to be able to help, then you need to spend more time with a good book, say perhaps Emily Post, than running up a cryptic post count. Oh, and please don't presume to tell me which posts I should reply to. (THat's rude).

: ) YES

You have included 10 images in your message. You are limited to using 6 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again.

Images include use of smilies, the BB code tag and HTML <img> tags. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator[/QUOTE]
I guess the point I'm making is by the time you add the code for :( (without the gaps that I had to add to get the thing to post.....) then you have already added the minimum and it CAN add an otherwise un-used element to your thread, without detracting from what the actual content of what it is your saying/complimenting on
