Reset BIOS? Disabled USB = No keyboard

Win8 boots fine and ask for a user password that I don't have.
Keyboard does not work at boot so I can't press f8.

When win8 started I can go to troubleshooting and restart into the bios.

Recovery, dos command and safe mode do not work.

Ouch. If your login was linked to your Outlook account, Win8 will use the same password. You can change your Outlook password from another PC.

If you had a standalone password, there is a trick that allows many users to possibly reset it, but it requires access to the "DOS prompt" (either via Safe Mode or the Trobleshooter.)

If the "trick" doesn't work but you can find a way to get to the "DOS Prompt", you can take advantage of an annoying "feature" in the SFC (System File Checker): run "sfc /scannow" and it will reset your password to match your Outlook Online password. :(

With no USB and no access to at least a CLI, your options fall to about Nil. :(

Yep, I already found that photo here:

I'm not (yet) to the point I'm prepared to attempt to crack open my table to attempt this. :D

I recall from my old WinXP days it was possible to Flash the BIOS from Windows. There is no BIOS update for my tablet, but I'm wondering if there isn't still a way to reset the BIOS from Windows in much the same manner?

Now you open your tablet, did you try to boot applying the short circuit on DO(pin 2) to GND like shown in the photo?
I know you try a lot of combinations before. during and after power on, but to force DO read just 0s should set just default options, I guess.
If no, what about short circuit it to VCC?

Hard to believe it has been 4 years.
Unfortunately, nothing worked. I tried shorting every pin on the BIOS chip and no combination cleared it. I purchased a chip-reprogrammer and was planning to try reflashing the chip, but I found the exact same tablet for sale on eBay used (no keyboard and "no WiFi") for $50 and took a chance. My existing KB works just fine and all I had to do to get WiFi working again was update the driver. (I'm using that tablet now to type this.)

I never did get around to attempting to flash the bios on the old tablet. It's absurd for anyone to have made a computer without a way to reset the bios.
