Rest Linkys Router password

Ok this may seem like any easy fix right? Lol not.

I want to be able to rest the password on my Wireless-G Broadband Router

without resetting the settings on the router.

Is there any programs I can run?

I need something

Unfortunately, if you don't know the password, you will have to do a complete reset. The settings for the most part should be default so it shouldn't take long to put it back the way it was.

Ok. I will tell the whole story. I would like to gain acces to friends router. His dad put a password on it. If we do a hard reset witch i could do it would mess up the settings and he would know someone reset the router. Do you have any ideas??
We want to open some port forwarding to his computer to mess with him. So if you have ideas on how to get the password to it???

Sorry, I can't help you anymore than I already have. Unless a T/S mod can tell me otherwise, I think remember reading a policy on helping users crack passwords.
