Rewiring a keyboard

Would like to know how to remove this keyboard plug & put a usb on in its place, can't find an adapter & can't afford a new keyboard. TIA

I have seen adapters for $1 on Ebay, but unless you have PayPal that won't work.

Haven't gotten to Staples yet so am still curious if its possible to cut the old one off & put a USB on?

While very similar, there is sufficient difference that an 'active adapter' is needed to give reliable service.

Ok, I might already have an adapter, will check. Going to try to get to staples this weekend. Mac kb suck.

Didn't make it to staples but got a 2nd hand Windows kb & it works pretty darn good
