Famous tech journalist John C. Dvorak passed away just 2 days ago.

His PC Magazine articles written back during the 1980s and 1990s are gold (yes they "are", not "were").
And he is actually related to the creator of the Dvorak keyboard.
Funny how even in the late 1980s, I always used to think that he looked a bit old for his claimed age. Only now most people, including me, have learned that he has publicly lied about his age for most of his life. He presented himself as 6 years younger than he actually was, I thought he was 74 in current year.
I also miss Jim Seymour, Bill Machrone and Jerry Pournelle. Dvorak was the last of my favourite tech columnists (even if Pournelle's "Chaos Manor" was more of a blog in printed form than actual opinion columns) who was still among us.
I'm really disappointed that TechSpot didn't publish an article about it. I think it would be well deserved and relevant enough.
