Hi guys, I am back for more wisdom from you, I have a new pc that's not booting up which appears to be caused by the graphics card. If I take out the RX 580 and put it in my old machine it works fine and happily boots into windows. If I put my old 4890 card in the new machine it works fine and boots into windows. The new RX580 doesn't seem to like the new pc. The spec of the new pc is as follows:-
Asrock Fatal1ty X370 gaming X mobo
Ryzen R5 1600x processor
16GB Corsair memory
120GB SSD
EVGA 550GQ PSU

Any suggestions why the graphics card doesn't seem to like the rest of the pc?

I would look to see if there is a BIO's update for both the MB and graphics card.

When you try to boot up with the 580 on the new machine, is there any beeps? What exactly do you see on the screen?

There are 5 long beeps and then they stop, there is nothing at all on the screen

Go here: http://asrock.pc.cdn.bitgravity.com/Manual/Fatal1ty X370 Gaming X.pdf and here https://www.asrock.com/support/faq.asp?id=286 The last link is the beep list.

Something isn't registering on the 580 install, if I had to guess. Are you installing the card on the PCIe x 16 slot (the one nearest the CPU)? Make sure the card is properly seated on the MB and that the power connector is properly seated as well. Consider upgrading BIOs too. It wouldn't hurt contacting ASRock either as the board is brand new.

Have spoken to Asrock and they have made some suggestions, once I have a chance to try them I will kep you posted.

Well I finally7 got the system to work and the fix was pretty simple, I just moved the graphics card from the first Pciex slot to the second and everything is now working as it should be. The manual for the mobo suggests using the first slot for a single card so I'm not sure why the second works and the first doesn't but the pc is now up and running.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
