"Safe To Remove" disappeared

When I click the "safe to remove" icon, I get the pop up to click which flashdrive to remove, but it don't show the pop up telling me its ok to remove it. Nothing pops up, why ?? W10 anniversary update installed.

There's probably no reason to use it. On my system I just give it a bit of time then remove the disc or flash drive or anything else

Before the W10 upgrade, I messed up a 256mb flashdrive by just removing it, which is why I'm wondering why it don't show now. I don't wish to mess up my higher gb flashdrives. Now I simply wait a few moments & slowly remove it. So far so good & thank you for your reply
