Multiple images of a new Samsung wearable have surfaced, revealing what appears to be an activity tracker built in the image of the Gear S2.

The Samsung SM-R150 (Samsung will almost certainly revise this codename) looks to feature the same circular watch face and rotatable bezel from the aforementioned Gear S2. SamMobile (who got the images from Tizen Cafe) believes the wearable could be based on Samsung's new Bio Processor, the same one featured in the S-Patch from CES.

Based on the images, one could surmise that the SM-R150 will feature improved heart rate tracking (possibly via a separate device that attaches to the shirt over your chest). Functions to keep track of water intake, measure body fat and count repetitions during a workout are also illustrated in the photos.

This is not the first time we've heard of Samsung's new activity tracker. Back in November, word got out that Samsung was working on an entry-level activity tracker codenamed SM-R150 (called Triathlon internally). At the time, it was suggested that the device could compete with the $15 Xiaomi Mi Band but given the leaked photos, I suspect it'll cost a bit more than that.

No word yet on when Samsung plans to announce the device. Considering Mobile World Congress 2016 is a little over a month away, it's a safe bet that Samsung will save the wearable to unveil in Barcelona.
