Samsung has released a new teaser video ahead of their scheduled Galaxy-themed Unpacked 2012 launch event early next month, including yet another teasing jab Apple's iPhone and their ever-faithful users. The company is certainly looking to drum up the hype with the release of their second video, this time enticing people to purchase their "truly smart technology" in order to "stand out from everyone else."

The ending is likely to grab a good deal of attention. As the video teaser finishes, the text "stand out from everyone else" is joined by a pictures of sheep. While it may be completely innocent in nature, given the firm's previous video singling out iPhone owners, it doesn't take much guessing to figure out the reference to what many call the "iSheep". The term is often used to describe Apple's faithful customers known for their willingness to follow the company's lead by purchasing every new product upon its launch.

Coinciding with the new teaser, GLBenchmark leaked performance benchmarks for the next-generation Galaxy S3, rumored to be the showcase of the event in London. The page has since been pulled down but Phone Arena managed to grab a screenshot first. If the details below are correct, it beats both the iPhone 4S and the quad-core HTC One X both in terms of processing power and graphical capabilities.

The exact specs are still uncertain, but the latest rumors suggest it will pack either a dual-core or quad-core processor, which is said to feature an ARM Mali-400 GPU. Also rumored is a 12MP camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage expandable via microSD, and the center-piece, their 4.7" Super AMOLED touchscreen display providing the visuals for Google's latest mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

I'm so excited for this release... in fact I can't recall the last time I actually followed a product launch this closely. Hopefully it won't disappoint.
I'll pick one up the day it comes to canada. Samsung's flagships always remain awesome phones for years.

Can we start putting leaked in quotes? I really doubt Samsung didn't intend for the benchmarks to get out.

Anyway... quad-core with a 4.7" screen? I'm scared the battery life will be measured in seconds.

I hope not... this may very well be my next phone.

I get great battery life from my SGS2. Main thing that causes problems is rogue apps such as Skype. ICS is great at helping diagnose that stuff now so bring on the 4.7 I say!

A quad-core phone? Really,
Necessity is the mother of invention, and all manufacturers eventually develop a tendency to shoot themselves in the foot, creating a useless bag of bolts. WTH would you need a quad-core phone for? H.246 encoding? Or porn streaming? With a quad, even setting the brightness to the lowest level won't help it's battery last more than a day.
Piece of crap, IMHO.
