I am asking this question here because I trust that you guys will know the answer fairly quickly. I purchased a new laptop yesterday and then today we had trouble getting it to boot because of the Windows update issues that so many people have been having. So, the Geek Squad corrected the issue for us, but the tech told me that the SuperAntiSpyware I downloaded yesterday came up as a virus. I am not sure what virus software they use to determine that, but I have used SuperAntiSpyware for years to remove the tracking cookies from my computer. I downloaded it directly from the SAS website. So, does this sometimes come up as a virus? Do I need to remove it? If so, I will follow the steps here, just figured you guys would know.

Unless we find out what program indicated SAS as a virus we won't know what Geek Squad is talking about.
For now SAS is totally safe.
