Sata issue

Hi,
My Presario sata hard drive stop running last year, and I asked a guy if it can be salvaged as a memory unit. And it could.
so recently I finally found a case for it and made it an external hard drive with 120gbs.
I checked it last night and it said that that was the amount I had.

Unfortunately, I just plugged it in again and it says I only have 8.25gbs of room.

This device has a backup button on, so Im almost positive that me pushing that button caused it to change from 120 to 8.25.

Is there a way to turn it back to a 120gb harddrive?

You can just format it if you don't need any of the data that is on it. Right click on the drive in My Computer, and there is either format in the options there, or you have to go to properties and find it there. I think it is just in the first menu when you right click, but I'm not on a Windows machine now, and I don't even have one running XP anymore.
