Set google maps to home

ON my desktop, In both Firefox & Google Chrome I used to be able to click my google maps bookmark & it would open up to my local zip code (HOME) location, it does not do such any more, I've followed most of the directions here https://www.google.com/search?q=set...AAQCIAQCSAQCYAQDIAQjAAQE&sclient=gws-wiz-serp but nothing has worked so far. Is it no longer possible??

ANY guesses why google maps does not open to my zip code (home) location, again?

The fun continues with with Google maps which has again fixed its self.
