I sent this link http://www.grc.com/cookies/forensics.htm?22jtbz21q3djd to some friends & one of them replied asking for help with 3rd party cookies in SeaMonkey,Firefox, Google Chrome & duckduckgo browsers.
I sent him the info & told him duckduckgo was not a browser, but a search engine & he replied telling me that when he made a short cut on his desktop for duckduckgo, it had the 3 horizontal bars on it when he clicked on it & he could go to the same setting as in Google Chrome. I told him that happened because he was using google chrome. Try it with SeaMonkey.
Looong story short, in his last email he was telling me how he put DDG in the search bar & downloaded it & I told him that its not possible. Like you can't download google search bar.
I will be sending him the link to this. Thanks for your help in advance. I also sent him this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuckDuckGo
which clearly states its a search engine & NOT a web browser.

I don't use DDG but took a look (btw.. looks like an interesting search engine!). I think terminology is the source of the confusion

1. Yes, you're right, DDG is a search engine and not a web browser

2. However, you can download a DDG toolbar as an addon for different browsers (e.g. FF, Chrome, etc) so you can easily do a DDG search within a toolbar in your browser

Ok, I wasn't aware one could download a toolbar. I've bookmarked it, I might try it.
I appreciate all the real estate I can get on my desktop so another toolbar is not going to happen. Thanks for your input.(y)
