You may be familiar with Dash: it's is part hardware and part software app – you place the gadget in your car and the app analyzes your driving habits. Now TechCrunch reports that Dash is branching out with products made for enterprise customers.
The Dash XL is the first new product and it’s built with truckers and fleet managers in mind. TechCrunch says Dash thinks the product will work best with fleets of 10 or fewer trucks. These smaller operations have often had a hard time affording traditional management solutions and Dash XL can be an affordable alternative.
Dash IQ, the second new product, will take the insights Dash’s previous products have collected and create an analytics platform for organizations and agencies. As part of the launch, Dash IQ has teamed up with the Department of Transportation in NY and AllState to give local drivers 30 percent off insurance if they install Dash and show that they’re driving safely.
According to TechCrunch, Dash is almost at 300,000 drivers across 100 countries using their platform. So it will be interesting to see how the new features impact a growing company. Will XL and IQ take Dash to a new level? We'll have to wait and find out.
