Another reason not to jump in buying the first model as soon as one comes out with the sole reason being to show off you got a new one.

And on another note, I don't have any words to describe the stupidity of people "pre-ordering" anything.

And yes, the current lineup of PS5 games are nothing to shout about. In fact, it's one of the most uninteresting releases in recent memory for a "new" console. A new console with only sequels and games that are very similarly available on previous gen.

Not one good game? How about more than one:
- God of War (60 fps on PS5)
- Ghost of Tsushima (60 fps on PS5)
- 2 Spiderman games (60 fps, RT)
- Demon Souls (PS5 exclusive and sole reason to own a PS5)
- Returnal (PS5 exclusive)
- Ratchet & Clank (PS5 exclusive coming next month - will set a new standard)

So why did you get a PS5 if you don't like/play these games?

Hmm you just listed half PS4 games which ran great and beautiful on my PS4 Pro.. As someone else mentioned on here they haven't released enough games to justify the PS5 yet. The PS4 Pro runs all these games beautiful already. Demon Souls I will have to agree with you but once I finished playing it thats it. Ratchet and Clank not a fan my son is. But that game hasn't came out yet... so as I mentioned games released*** not pending.

Absolute rubbish, the PS5 is a great bit of kit, it is worth buying now even if you only ever use it as a souped up PS4 Pro and ignore the PS5 games and DS5 features (which when used right really are game changing). Take God of War for instance on the PS4 it makes the hardware sound like a hovercraft but the PS5 plays it at a rock solid 60fps at 4K but most importantly it does it in silence.

My Digital Edition at £359 cost less than my original PlayStation, WipEout and a memory card did way back in 1995, the console is exceptional value and has a bright future to simply dismiss it outright is ridiculous.

So this amazing PS5 you're blubbering over, it's biggest features are that it's cooling system is better and the controller features that arn't used yet?

What an amazing purchase of $400. It may be worth buying to you, but most people will want something to play on it other then PS4 games.

You did not answer me why did you buy a PS5?
From what you're saying you did not need one, so why did you?

As for the rest what you said, "beautiful" at 30 fps, really? That's not beautiful at all, you must have low standards.

I'm a PC gamer 1st, so 30 fps is a big NO for me.

I stopped playing GoW after a few hours in because of that frame rate and jet engine sound of my PS4 Pro (I even had it personally modded with liquid metal and still was loud). - Also as a side note imagine my surprise to see the PS5 officially made with liquid metal cooling, rofl. - I do like that.

All of the above games I plan to play on the PS5, because I have not played them on PS4 + the PS5 exclusives. So for me and others in my situation PS5 is amazing and perfect and has games worth of at least half a year to play.

So I completely disagree with your POV, I would be very content with a PS5 right now, if I could buy it at MSRP in my part of the EU.

If you don't have a PS5 yet, let me be the first to say, you ain't missing nothing.
Hopefully the redesign is better.
Hopefully the scalper issues are resolved by then.

I could see by the games list!

Switch, PC, PS4, PS3 (hacked), dreamcast, N64.

That's still my stuff that gets played on regularly in order of most to least - Switch is only higher than PC as the Mrs plays on it loads!
