When I try to copy a file that is only 4GB in size to a thumb drive that has 32 GB of space left, I am told the file is too big to fit in the space left on the drive. I have searched everywhere and not on can give me any idea as to how to fix this.
HELP
Thanks

You need to reformat the drive as NTFS.
Most thumb drives are partitioned in FAT 32 which only supports 4GB transfers at a time.

If you choose to reformat, Be aware that it will destroy all existing data contained on the drive, Back it up first.

Type manage in your start menu and open the computer management program.
Select disk management in the left hand column.
Right click on your thumb drive and choose format.
Change file system to NTFS
Press ok.

Hope this helps.

Can I ask how you came to that conclusion?

I had similar issue, then my friend checked it and found that it's a virus takes hard disk's space on my PC. So I think this is the most common problem when you couldn't find any files that take hard drive space.
