Spam drops by 20% after Russia takes down one man

I am absolutely astounded that in this day and age, with the internet as decentralized as it is, that one dude can be responsible for a full 20% of ALL spam.

Yes! Russia 1, spammers, um, still 200 billion.
So true! so true! ^_^

hopefully Russia and China start working overtime to prevent cybercrime (at least the ones not made by the gov). actually if i think about it, my country is also quite high on that list (Romania).
PS: say "Multumesc!" (trans: Thank you!) Microsoft as romanian is the 2nd most spoken language there. ^_^

I don't know what's worse: there are people out there that actually make spam a lucrative business by buying into the nonsense, or that there are people who would try to make money that way. Still, Gmail's spam blocker is pretty much spot on, and it really isn't a problem for me. It's still nice that they took him out, though

Spam needs a drastic solution, the move from russia will just slow things down for some time, nothing long-term.
